Laine has a masters in education, teacher at a Boston high-school. Laine emphasized the importance of teaching computer science from an early age. She was extremely concerned with the loss of jobs due to automation in 10 years and believes that local hacking competitions will aid students in their pursuit of CS knowledge. In addition, she mentioned that her school and many other public education programs don't have sufficient funding for running their own hackathon, or the time to reach out to sponsors. She represents a very large untapped market of those who wish to educate and learn about computer science but don't have the resources. Thus, PC Hacks can be a huge help.
